Wonderful
Matsy, one of the ladies at the reception helped us a lot after we discovered we didn't make the write booking. Great job also she did on our heavy over sea luggage.
The rooms are small but everything you need is there, carefully equipped and very clean.

Great hotel that has deteriorated over the years
Location ... 2 mins walk from Paddington station.
I have stayed here since it first opened. Property has deteriorated over the years. Day 1: The water drainage in the bathroom sink is exceedingly slow. Was almost full of water by the time I finished brushing my teeth. Day 2: Some used towels which were left on the bathroom floor were not cleared out. Day 3: I had returned to my room late at night and found that the wall, bed headboard, bedside table and floor was sticky with a brown liquid. I also noticed this on the lamp shade, coffee machine, on my bags and my clothes. It appeared that a can of coca cola had exploded in the room. I don't drink coca cola so it was not from any can that I had opened. I am not blaming the cleaning crew for the spillage but they should have cleaned the room thoroughly. Instead, I had to wipe down the walls, floors n my bags in the middle of the night because everything was sticky. Every morning at 6am: The door leading to the room used by the cleaning crew slams shut about 2 or 3 every morning at about 6am ... my room is just next to it so it very loud and it wakes me from my sleep. Most guests would still be in bed at that time as well, myself included.  Every night around midnight: The shelves which act as the room cupboard, gives out a single loud "TOK", almost every 30 minutes for about 4 to 6 times ... have to do with the material contracting and expanding? The loud sound gave me a shock and woke me up as well. I wrote to the hotel manager but never received a response..
